Barbara Wapner Pressman is an attorney with Collaborative Family Law Affiliates. She has practiced law since 1959 and is a partner with her husband, Herbert Pressman, in the law firm of Pressman & Pressman. Her practice includes Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester and Delaware counties. For more than twenty years she has concentrated her practice in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody and support. Since becoming aware of the collaborative process, she has embraced it as a much needed alternative to the confrontational mode traditionally used to resolve family disputes. Mrs. Pressman graduated from Vassar College in 1955 and Temple University Law School in 1958. She is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania Courts and in the United States Supreme Court. Mrs. Pressman has been listed in the first edition of Who=s Who in American Law, Who=s Who in American Women and the World Who=s Who of Women. Mrs. Pressman has been involved in state and local politics and was one of the first women to run for the Pennsylvania State Senate. She was also the President of the Coordinating Committee on Vital Jewish Issues and the recipient of an Outstanding Citizen Award conferred by seven state and city-wide organizations. She has lectured nationally and has conducted state-wide workshops for women candidates. Mrs. Pressman taught at Temple University and Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, now Philadelphia University. She has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, has been honored by the Chapel of Four Chaplains and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where she has served on the ethics committee.
