![]() | CARLIN KNIGHT, ESQUIRE Carlin Knight is a solo practitioner in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, with a practice concentrated in family law, including adoption, divorce (including divorce mediation), support, child custody, protection from abuse, wills and estates. Ms. Knight received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in 1969, her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Smith College in 1977, a Post-Master’s Certification in Family Therapy from the Family Institute of Philadelphia in 1985, and her Juris Doctorate with honors from Widener University School of Law cum laude in 1994 where she received the Zelda K. Herrmann Memorial Cup Commencement Award for excellence in scholarship and leadership. In addition to training in Collaborative Family Law, she has completed advanced training in divorce and custody mediation. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar as well as a Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Family Law and Children’s Rights Committees, the Family Law Section of the Delaware County Bar Association and has served on several committees of the Delaware County Bar Association, including the Family Law Division Rules Committee and the Orphans’ Court Rules and Legal Education Committees. She is an Attorney Affiliate with the Women’s Resource Center and is an active member of the Delaware Valley Adoption Council. In addition to her family law practice, Ms. Knight has practiced extensively in the field of child welfare and family violence as a foster care Caseworker, Intake and Child Protective Services Supervisor and Administrator of the Legal Department for the Delaware County Children and Youth Services, as a Family Therapist, as an Adjunct Professor in the Center for Social Work Education at Widener University, and as a faculty member of the Family Institute of Philadelphia. She continues to provide extensive consultation and training in child welfare and family law matters. |
