David A. Emery is a Vice President & Senior Financial Advisor for Univest National Bank and Trust Company’s Wealth Management & Trust Group.    In addition to holding the Certified Financial Planner™ designation, David has earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™) designation and is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Affiliates. He assists divorcing clients reach an equitable distribution of martial assets and helps them to understand their standard of living post divorce.  David also has extensive knowledge in helping clients save and pay for college in the most cost-efficient manner.  He helps families overcome paying for college while maintaining their standard of living and not robbing from their retirement accounts.  He is one of the select few to receive the designation of Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS).

David has been interviewed and quoted in many national and local news outlets.  Some of these include: The Dow Jones News Service, Newsweek, Chicago Sun Times, as well as local publications such as The Reporter, Bucks County Courier Times, and Central Bucks Chamber W4.

Prior to joining Univest, David worked for Prometheus Capital Management Corporation as a Certified Financial Planner™.  David holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College.  He holds NASD Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as various insurance licenses.  David is a Board Member of the Financial Planning Association of the Philadelphia Tri-State area, and is the Treasurer of the Briarfield Association--the Alumni Association of Psi Chapter of Chi Phi Fraternity.  David is also a member of LeTip of Middle Bucks, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, the Central Bucks YMCA, and is a member and Deacon of Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church.  He is married, has two children, and resides in Doylestown, PA.
