He is Of Counsel to the Philadelphia law firm of Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel, LLP, concentrating in family law, commercial litigations and collections and bankruptcy, at all levels of state and federal courts, ethics and professional malpractice, business law and estate planning and administration. Mr. Grunfeld has previously been associated with the law firms of Gratz, Tate, Spiegel, Ervin & Ruthrauff; Rosenwald, Pollack and Grunfeld; Bluestein, Rutstein & Mirarchi, PC; and Steinberg, Greenstein, Gorelick & Price, and clerked for Honorable D. Donald Jamieson, Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia. Mr. Grunfeld graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia, J.D. May 1968 and Lehigh University, 1965, BS in Business Administration. His many professional and community affiliations include the Philadelphia Bar Association in a range of committees and positions including Family Law Section Chair, Editor-in-Chief of The Philadelphia Lawyer magazine and The Philadelphia Bar Reporter newspaper; Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section, American Bar Association, Family Law and Business Law Sections, and many positions and Board of Director appointments including Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Philadelphia, Montgomery County Family Services, Mens Resource Center, Montgomery County N.O.W. and the Philadelphia Jaycees (former President). He is a long time lecturer and writer on family law and ethics subjects for lawyers. |
